The President of the SBCAL/COBEA and the Organizing Committee of the 15th Brazilian Laboratory Animal Association Congress-SBCAL/COBEA have the honour to invite you to participate in this event, which will be held in Goiânia 16-19 June, 2018. It is our pleasure to let you know that we will have the especial participation of the International Council on Laboratory Animal Science -ICLAS- as our main supporter. Our Latin American Federations FESSACAL e FESAHANCCAL will highly enlighten our Congress.
Our main objective is to provide a forum for discussion, thus giving an opportunity to examine differences and to harmonise procedures whenever the use of animals in research and teaching are used. As well as to follow the evolution of scientific, legal and cultural questions.
We would like to take this opportunity to remark, modesty aside, that Brazil already takes part in the International Scientific Community in the area of Laboratory Animal Science. And, we are aware that we need to look for harmonization with the rest of the world in order to be prepared to fulfil international demands on such an important field of knowledge.
The choice of the city was by no means accidental. In this month of June the weather is excellent, the temperature is quite pleasant and the visitor shall see one of the world´s most green cities in the country, a fact acknowledged by the UN. The city sunset is unforgettable!!!You have all of this within a nice great town of 1, 5 million inhabitants, a wide range of services and with a most hospitable people.
Nearby are beautiful historical cities like Goiás, recognised by UNESCO as a world heritage site. Brasilia, capital of the country is one of the most modern cities in the world, with a unique architecture, and is only 2.5 hours drive from Goiânia.
Your participation is very important to us, we are really looking forward to exchange ideas, where all of us will learn. Enjoy all the opportunities this event will offer to you.
You are already most welcome!!!
